Why by road
When a long transfer beats the train or a flight
The fast train is quicker between city centres. A long transfer makes sense when you have more luggage than you can carry, a group of five to seven, small children, or a destination far from a station.
It also turns travel time into part of the trip: a lunch stop in a Provence village, a detour past a vineyard, or a quiet nap in the lounge seats.
How we quote
Long transfers are quoted as one amount for the whole journey, including the chauffeur’s return to Nice. The quote lists what is included, such as tolls and fuel, and any stop you have asked for.
Italy and Switzerland
Transfers to Italy are not offered at the moment while we confirm the rules that apply to French private hire operators there. Ask us if your plans involve a border crossing and we will tell you what is possible.
What we need for a quote
- Pickup and destination addresses
- Date and earliest departure time
- Number of passengers and large bags
- Any stop or detour you would like
- A deadline, such as a flight or a ship
Online booking
Can I book a long-distance ride online?
Routes that the booking form can price are shown there with their fare. If your destination is not available online, the form will not offer it: send us a quote request and we confirm availability and price, usually within the day.
For return trips inside the Riviera, see our private van services. For a day out and back, the Provence day trip is the better fit.

Long-distance questions
Do you take breaks on a long drive?
Yes. On journeys over two or three hours we plan short breaks for passengers and driver. Long drives such as Paris follow the legal driving-time rules, which can mean a second driver or an overnight stop; the quote says which.
Can you meet a cruise ship in Marseille?
Yes, as a quote. Give us the ship and terminal, and we plan the arrival time with a margin.
Can we book a one-way trip and the return weeks later?
Yes. Ask for both in one quote; each leg is confirmed separately.
Why is a long transfer not cheaper per kilometre?
The price includes the chauffeur’s time and the empty drive back to Nice. On long routes, that return is a large part of the cost.
