The route
Motorway or corniche, depending on the hour
Most transfers take the A8 motorway east and come down into Monaco from the hills. When the motorway is congested, your driver may choose one of the three corniche roads along the coast. You do not need to decide: the price is the same whichever route is faster on the day.
The slowest times are weekday mornings into Monaco, when thousands of people commute from France, and the evening return. Summer Saturdays are busy in both directions.
Why drop-off only?
Monaco regulates which vehicles may pick up passengers inside the Principality. A French private hire company can bring you to Monaco on a pre-booked ride, but picking you up there requires a specific authorization that Riviera Lounge Van does not hold at the moment.
In practice: we take you to Monaco. For the ride back, we can meet you just across the border in France, at a point agreed with you.

Hotels, residences and yachts
Hotels around Casino Square
Your driver uses the hotel entrance, where staff can take the luggage straight from the van.
Private residences
Many buildings have a lobby on one street and a garage on another. Send the exact entrance in your booking notes.
Port Hercule and Fontvieille
For guests joining a yacht, give the berth or the agent’s instructions; access to the quays can be restricted.

Monaco transfer questions
Can you pick me up in Monaco for the return to the airport?
Not inside Monaco at the moment. We can meet you at an agreed point just across the border in France, a short walk or a short local ride from your hotel. Ask us when you book and we suggest the most practical spot.
Is a helicopter faster than a car?
The flight itself is short, but you add check-in and transfers at both heliports. A car goes door to door with all your luggage, and costs far less for a family or group.
Do I need my passport to enter Monaco by road?
There is no border control on the road between France and Monaco. Carry your ID as you would anywhere in France.
How much luggage fits for a Monaco stay?
It depends on the number of passengers. Tell us your suitcases and bulky items when you book and we confirm that everything fits.
